After exploring Tham Lod caves, we decided to go for a walk on next morning. Sap Pong (Soppong) and Pang Ma Pha region is famous for its caves and natural trails.

Tham Lot is a small village with sparse population on the bank of Lang River. We got up early in the morning and started marking our path on the map provided to us by Cave Lodge – place where we were staying (Book here on Booking.com) . It had multiple trails marked on it and soon we were on our way on the trail leading to Lang River.
Tham Lot Natural Trails Map
Here is the Cave Lodge map. It is too comprehensive and covers details of all natural trails around Tham Lot. Quite handy indeed !!
As we started walking through the village, soon we were joined by a beautiful dog family. They were as if waiting for us to take them to the woods. Seeing us, they got damn too excited and started walking with us. We too wanted a company and what better could we ask than having these loving companions. All the way, all three of them ensured not to loose us and accompanied us for the walk up to river and back up to their house 🙂
Here are our morning walk pictures to inspire you to explore natural trails in this tiny beautiful village of Tham Lod caves.
On our way back, we also got our hands on some fresh yummy berries. Reward of waking up early and going for morning exploration !!
We loved our stay at Tham Lot (Sap Pong), far from noise and hustle. Would certainly recommend an exploration sojourn in the mountains of Tham Lot. Explore caves, Explore natural trails and Explore your inner self in the silence of Tham Lot mountains. An offbeat experience indeed !!
